Alignment colors in Darkfall Online

Alignment colors are very interesting in Darkfall Online. To use it flexibly, you first have to know the rules it works, and it performs in different situation. Reading the info given by experienced player is always a good way to better play in the game.
In the case a blue walks up to you, smacks you, and turns grey, do not attack or you will get penalty. This is a way they attract you. They will return to blue in ten seconds, leaving you with a hard hit if you can not stop immediately to avoid a full two-minute gray penalty. If you are in blue, someone who attacks you will get grey for 10 seconds but go back to blue when they stop stacking you. you are attackable without any penalty during the 10 seconds period. If you are attacked once more by someone, the one will get grey for two minters for penalty.
Grey represents that they have been in criminal status due to attack a member of their own faction. Attack them will not take any risk. Do not attack them long, since they will be in grey for a short period of time.
Someone in red means she or he does not have good standing with their own faction, because of kill members of their own faction. They can be attack freely. They may or may not be an “enemy”.
Someone in blue is in good standing with their own faction. The one in the color could be your enemy, be careful. It has nothing to do with whether or not they can kill you without penalty.
