Initial preparations in Darkfall Online

Once you have created your character and show up outside the gate of the village that was chose as your starting location, you will see a clanstone and non-player controlled character that gives you the starter quests.
There is a ‘Chat’ button under the system message box. You open the public chat bar by clicking on the ‘chat’ button. In the case you want to type a message to all, you should type/say global followed by your message. In the event you want to have a private conversation, what you need to do is type the player’s name and last name then your message. You are able to read a bit more about chatting.
at this time you still can not see your character since you are not in combat mode. You are able to see your character by following the rules.
‘right clicking’ open up the utility windows, like paperdoll, backpack and so on. you will have an access to options, journal. Minimap and such by using a links menu on the top left. click on mainimap it will be open. In the case it is not open already in the top right corner, just leave it there, it will be handy shortly to find where the monsters are.
Click on Skills, and under general skills find “Rest”. Drag it to the zero slot of the hot bar. Equip one of the three starter weapons by dragging it from the backpack to your paperdoll.
You will not see the utility windows by right clicking. Unsheathe your weapon by pressing R. well, at the moment, your character will appear in front of you.
