The importance of skills in darkfall

Players sometimes hear that in Darkfall, skill level plays a slight role and it means nothing. You only get benefits at certain points in your progression (25 skill, 50 skill, etc). It is a misunderstood facet in Darkfall. As for a fresher, at first, you have no level, no class, and when you die, you will have no gear. You have to increase it by using it.
